SNOW!

Lexie loves the snow! Since it has been snowing the last couple of days she stands at the window and watches it. I decided I would let her play in the snow while I shoveled the driveway. She was so excited to put on her boots and snow pants. Once we got out there though, all she wanted to do was eat the snow. I tried to get her to walk around, to make a snowman. Nope, she was content just sitting there eating snow. I did put her in a clean area of snow so don't worry.

Lights on 25th Street

For Family Night we went to see the lights down town. Downtown they have a block covered with miniature houses. Each is sponsored by a local business or charity. They decorate them, usually with some sort of theme. Lexie really liked it. She especially liked the houses that had animals in them. She is really into lights this year. Whenever we are driving she points out every house with lights on and says "cool". She loved that she could ride in the stroller with her hands in her pockets and still see everything. After the lights we went to Farr's for ice cream.

The Perfect Saturday

Usually when I talk of a perfect day it includes some type of shopping, but this one was different. Well Saturday started off with JD making french toast and sausage (mine and Lexie's favorite) for breakfast. He had to run a couple of errands and was gone longer than I thought he should be. Anyway, he brought me back my favorite hot chocolate. We headed outside to work on the shed. It was great being able to work side by side with JD and his dad roofing. I had never roofed before but they were patient until I caught on. When we got done with roofing JD told me to get a babysitter, he was taking me to Twilight. You have to understand JD hates, hates with a passion chick flicks. Before he could change his mind I had a babysitter and we were on our way. We dropped Lexie off at JD's parents, when I got back to the car he gave me a rose. He said we needed to start this date off right, and sorry that he was gone longer than he should of been that morning but he had to get the rose. He drove straight to Prairie Schooner, one of my favorite restaurants. This was great because for being two very decisive people we can never make up our minds on were to eat. He had already made reservations so we didn't even have to wait. After a great dinner we went to the movie. I loved it and he said he really didn't hate it (which means he like it). We went and picked up Lexie, he put her in bed and then had a candle lit bubble bath ready for me. Man, after roofing I really needed this. That night my back had already started hurting.

I call this the perfect Saturday because I got to work hard and then be taken care of. All with the man of my dreams.
