Brynnlee's 1st Birthday

July 26th was Brynnlee's 1st Birthday. She really didn't know it was her birthday. She is still battling a nasty ear infection, today we found out the antibiotic is finally working (this is the 3rd one she has been on, 3rd times a charm)! We had cupcakes and ice cream with family to celebrate. She did love her cake and ate most of it. She was excited about presents and opened them all. I still can't believe it has been a year. She is a little spit fire and going to give Lexie a run for her money. It will be interesting through the years to see this little spit fire and her stubborn sister grow. We love our girls!
Brynnlee's cupcake
Yes, I dropped it as I was setting it on her tray. Thank goodness for backups!
Checking out the fire
Digging in!
Yummy
She loved it!
Lexie liked hers too!

Lexie cuts her own hair!

Lexie comes in the front room and says, "Mom all my hair is out of my face."
I say, "Good hooonnneeey . . . . (looking at her now) . . . did you cut your hair!" Lexie starts crying. I didn't even yell at her she just started bawling. When I told her we are going to have to go get it fixed and cut it short, she started bawling even harder. I was searching the house trying to figure out where she made a mess and clean it up. I looked in the bathrooms. . . nothing. I looked in her bedroom . . . nothing, until I looked closer.
A pair of scissors on her play kitchen table . . .
Lots of hair in the garbage! At least she was smart enough to do it over the garbage and clean up after herself.
Not a very happy girl, look at her poor bangs!
Yes, all of this hair use to be the same length!
Trying to fix it, that was her sad face the whole time.
Yeah it is fixed and she only slightly looks like a dutch boy! Could be worse.

24th is Paris

This year for the 24th we decided to forgo the usual celebration and relax in Paris. This was JD's first time up this summer which is sad we usually make it up at least 5 or 6 times by this time of year. We rode horses and 4-wheelers and we went rafting on the Snake River. It was a great weekend.
Janeen and I took turns watching the girls. I went the first time and she went the second time.
Don, Morris, Janeen, Clayton, JD, Clay and Brook
Brynnlee kept entertained with rocks and eating sand
Lexie played with water, mud, and rocks for three hours straight and was in heaven

Lexie is obsessed with feeding the horses
She has always loved the horses and this year nothing has changed
She could sit and watch/talk to/feed/sing to the horses all day.
Feeding the horses again.

Rodeo

We had a Parry Family Night at the Ogden Rodeo. It was a great night.
Brynnlee enjoying the people behind us more than the horses

Family Softball and The Swing

We played in the Pioneer Day Softball Tournament in Fairview. We put a family team together consisting of: JD and I, my brother Casey his wife Tina, my sister Tori, my brother Brett and his wife Kim, cousin Trent, my sister Brandi and her husband Mike, JD's brother Clay, and Tori's friend Alesha. We played two pool play games and I think 3 tournament games. It was a blast. It is great to be able to do that with my family. Thanks everyone for playing and making it so fun. (sorry no pics of the softball games to busy playing)

After the games we all wanted to go somewhere cooler and relax. We headed up the mountain to the Anderson swing! It is always fun to go and hang out up there. You climb a platform, climb on a rope swing and jump off. You swing over a mountain side. Pretty much it is a rush no matter how many times you have done it.
Me and lexie climbing up. She kept saying she wanted to go from the top.
Until we got to the top. But once you are up there, there is no way down but the swing!
So we went, she screamed and cried the whole time.
Yes, I may be a horrible mom and probably scared her for life.
This was Clays first time going off, see the fear on is face!
