Girls Camp 2012

We had an amazing girls camp up in Paris, ID.  We camped up Paris Springs and it was gorgeous with lots of shade.  We had a good time figuring out how to set up the scout tents.  We eventually got them up and headed to the ice caves.  Most of the girls had never been there and thought it was pretty cool.  I stayed in the main big room with Halle and then we watched all the girls climb out the top.  That night we had very creative skits and costumes.  We spent a day at Bear Lake, we had perfect weather and the girls had fun.  After the lake our Junior Leaders put on a fireside for us.  They did an amazing job, such beautiful girls. The next day everyone but Halle and I hiked to Bloomington Lake.  They had a blast going off the rope swing and cliff jumping.  Halle has had to many severe concussions and couldn't do anything and I just can't walk so we went down to JD's parents house in Paris to shower and watch Charley!  We were both bummed we couldn't go on the hike so a shower and movie really helped.  We had an amazing speaker that night and a great testimony meeting.  The girls in our ward are amazing.  I was really worried about making it through camp and being able to have fun.  JD gave me a blessing before leaving and I knew I would be able to do it.  The girls were awesome to help me, even though they had know idea how badly I needed it.  We had no drama the entire time, we all just had a great time being together in the mountains.
Thank you to Leslie, Claudy and Janeen for juggling my kids at the last minute for me.  Thank you JD for taking time off and spending it with a bunch of girls.

Brynnlee's 3rd Birthday

Brynnlee is doing so well.  We are still going to a private speech therapist and she has made leaps and bounds.  She is getting more confidence in trying to say things.  We still have a long way to go, but we are seeing progress.  She is becoming more and more stubborn (if that is possible).  She is potty trained and ready to be a big sister.  She loves babies, coloring and doing anything Lexie is doing.
HAPPY BIRTHDAY!

She was trying to do 3 and came up with this.  We have worked on it since and she can do 3 the right way now and is pretty proud of it.

She loved opening presents.  She wasn't very happy that she had to wait until night time to do it, but she was happy with what she got.
Dressed in her new Minnie Jammies and feeding her baby.

I decided to take the girls to Lagoon because JD was in meetings all day.  My friend Claudy and her kids came with, which always makes it better.  Lexie can go on rides with her kids and I just get to sit.  All Brynnlee wanted to do was ride the train and the tug boats.  So that is what we did and she was completely satisfied with her trip to Lagoon.

The train and animals are her very favorite part of Lagoon.  We could do that and nothing else and she would be totally fine.

We went to the Fish Farm and let the girls feed the fish.

JD taught both girls how to throw food in and then stick your finger in to see in the fish will bite your finger.  I know weird but they both got a kick out of doing it.

24th of July and Brynnlee's Fairview Birthday

I have always loved my small town Pioneer Day Celebration.  I also love that Brynnlee's birthday is close to it so we can celebrate with all of my family.
I made lemonade cupcakes and my sister-in-law Tina helped me decorate them.
I think they turned out pretty cute.
Brynnlee's cake!  She love Minnie Mouse.  Thanks to Emilee who had the pan I was hunting all over for.  Again Tina helped me make it look good.
We had all my family over for fajitas, but JD was running late and didn't get there in time for dinner so we just put candles in a cupcake so he could be there for the real thing.  We all sang and then hurried to the kids rodeo!
Blowing out her candles on her Minnie cake!

She got to go shopping with Grandma and Grandpa Cox earlier in the day.  I was a little worried she wouldn't know what she wanted, but she had no problems.  She wanted shoes (yes she takes after me and I take after my mom), a pretty dress and a baby.
Licking the candles.
July 24th parade, ready for some candy.  She is really a candy snob, she won't pick up any candy unless it is something she likes.

Lexie decided she wanted to ride in the parade with Brett, Kim and Payton for MKJ.  She was so excited to throw candy and ride in the big tractor.
Brynnlee now thinks that every tractor we pass should throw candy to her.
My two brothers are in a band that played at the car show.  Now I know they are my brothers and all but they are really good.  We sat and listened to them for and hour or so.
Some of the best people I know, JD, Brett, my Dad and my Mom.
Lexie loves being able to play with her Fairview cousins.
Eating homemade ice cream after having to churn it 100 times.

Brynnlee also got some, but she didn't have to work for it.
My uncle Branch put up his rock wall for kids to climb and raise money for the museum.

Lexie did really well until she was above everyones head and then she got scared.
We are definitely going to have to work on her rock climbing skills.

We ended the day with ugly steaks at my uncle Kevin and aunt Paulas and the  Derby.  It was a great day relaxing and spending time with family.
