Summer Time at the Pool

Wednesday we went to the pool for the first time of the summer. Lexie was so excited she had a hard time waiting in line to pay. When we finally got in there she didn't even want to take off her shoes before running in. She still loves the water but is a little more cautious when she is wearing her life jacket than when she is not. This is so backwards but we will see how she does throughout the summer. She is convinced that the big pool is way more fun than the little kids pool. She wants to jump in and kick and swim like a big girl. I would rather just sit and watch her in the kiddy pool but it doesn't look like that is going to happen. We met my friend Lindsay and her kids there. Lexie had a lot of fun with Sammie.

Yes, they are really posing, what cute girls

Biking with Daddy

Monday when JD came home for lunch he told Lexie he would take her on a bike ride when he got home from work. This was at 3:00. She ran and put her helmet on and wore it until 6:00 when JD got home. She got his bike shoes and helmet ready for him too. All I heard for three hours is how her and daddy were going on a bike ride. She was so stinkin' excited. She did great on the ride, only complaining that it was a little bumpy. The last couple of days she will just sit in the trailer with her helmet on and pretend they are going for a ride. She sure does love doing anything with her daddy.

Puppies and Ice Cream

Jerzi, Monette's beagle had 7 puppies. Lexie begs everyday to go up and see them. This has been a great bargaining tool. She will do anything if I tell her she can go see the puppies. So at least every other day we go and play with the puppies. The puppies are for sale so if you want one let me know.

This is one of the puppies about 4 days old

Cute puppy, they are about 6 weeks old

Lexie would take a bite for herself and then give the puppy a bite. I know really gross but cute.

They just keep getting cuter and cuter

Lexie doesn't let them get to far away from her.

We had ice cream and obviously we she didn't get enough she started dishing up her own.

Putting it in a bowl took too long, eating right out of the carton is so much faster

Casey and Tina's Wedding

My little brother Casey got married last weekend. They got married in the Manti Temple. We are so happy for them. I don't have any pictures from the temple or reception in Fairview (they are coming). I did however take some pictures at the reception in Riverton.
The kids headed straight for the water
We took the kids over to see the Jordan River Temple, Lexie loved the water

Kind of a dark picture, but the classic temple family pic

Landon was cute and danced with Lexie and Payton to keep them entertained.

We spent Memorial Day in Paris. It was a great weekend. It did rain off and on, but it always quit long enough for us to go outside and play for awhile. We made it to the beach on Saturday just for a little while. Lexie was playing in the water about knee deep and fell going under. The water was freezing she was so cold but wanted to go back and play. We had only been on the beach for about 5-7 minutes when a down pour started. We hopped on the 4-wheelers and took shelter at the Broadbents cabin. We waited about 10 minutes for it to stop, this whole time Lexie is freezing but still wanting to go play in the water. Yes, she is nuts.
JD and I made a ladder golf game, it is also called redneck golf. We had a great time with it. It was great because even the little kids could play. Lexie loved to chase the balls and pick them up for me. I didn't mind this at all, cause it is getting a little hard to bend over.
On Monday we took Lexie on a 4-wheeler ride to the reservoir. We again got rained on a little bit but kept going. Lexie loved throwing rocks in the water and was a little disappointed she couldn't get in the water. On the way back I thought I saw a rock chuck in the road. I sped up because we wanted Lexie to see it. We get about 7 feet away and realize it is not a rock chuck it is a freaking BADGER. It had run off the road about 5-7 feet and turned to face us with its claws in the air. Needless to say we didn't stay to show Lexie.

Hogle Zoo

Thursday we went to the Hogle Zoo with Janeen, Jed, and Leslie and her kids. Lexie was so excited to go and see animals. She was much more fun this time than last time we took her. She actually walked the whole time and let Mia ride in her stroller. She loved every animal. It is so fun to see her get so excited over seeing animals. Hopefully we can make it back soon.

First Fire of the Summer

Us
The Eckardt's

The Nelson's

Saturday we had a couple of neighbors over for the first fire of the summer. It was a little chilly but we managed. We ate hot dogs and hamburgers and of coarse we made smores. We played a quick game of bocce ball and just got to know our neighbors a little better.
