25th Street Horses and Trains

All summer Lexie has been wanted to go see the painted horses on 25th street. We finally got around to walking around the horses and trains.
Lexie was a little nervous to climb up on the train by herself but she did it!
The best picture I could get of the two of them.
Brynnlee wanted to ride every horse. She loved stopping at every horse, getting in and out of the stroller herself. She thought she was such a big girl.
I finally put the girls on a horse. You are not suppose to sit on them but I couldn't resist the urge for at least one picture. And they loved it.
This is the only bucking one that Brynnlee would stand by. These big ones scared her.
The two bucking ones by the water were Lexie's favorite.
She wants to make a painted horse for our yard. She told me it would look so good with my flowers!

Brynnlee loved this dinosaur one.

Temple

Last Tuesday I was able to go with the YW to the Logan temple to do baptisms for the dead. It was a great day and a beautiful temple. I love the youth in our ward and am so grateful for my calling in YW's. We have such good girls in our ward.
We arrived a little early and had time to kill, so they were good sports and let me take pictures.
Of course we had to go get Aggie Ice Cream after!

FHE at the Raptors Game

We went to the Raptors game for Family Home Evening. It was a perfect night, not to hot and the girls were great. Lexie loves trying to find Oggie the Raptor. She got brave this time and gave him high 5 but still wouldn't get close enough for a picture. I love these games because there is so much offense. We saw multiple home runs and a ton of base hits. It was fun teaching Lexie some runs and why the players are doing certain things. She loved to know where all the players were from and reading the number on their jerseys. It was a nice relaxing night and the ballpark.

Brynnlee is 2!

Our baby is 2! Brynnlee lately has been doing so well. She is eating and HAPPY! She still is not talking but makes a couple more sounds each week. We are still waiting to know what her voice will sound like. She signs and gets her point across without talking which is good and bad. She is one stubborn little girl. She loves to copy Lexie but hates it when Lexie is in her space. She loves to sit on laps, sitting next to someone (especially mom) is not good enough. She love ice cream cones and cake without frosting. She loves to do things to get a reaction from people. Her favorite things are chap stick, sunglasses, purses and shoes.

Camping!

On Sunday night we decided to go up on North Skyline Drive and go camping. My mom and dad have a new motor home and we needed to break it in. We packed like we were staying for a week but we were only staying one night. We grilled hamburgers for dinner and then did cupcakes and ice cream for Brynnlee's birthday. She loved opening presents, ripping paper without getting in trouble. She wasn't to sure about the candles but she ate two cupcakes minus the frosting. Yeah, weird a kid who would rather eat the cake and not the frosting! We sat around the camp fire and laughed all night. Being with family in mountains is awesome. The next morning we decided to hike to the Anderson swing and take our last rides on it before it was taken down for good. Mom and dad took the babies in the truck and the rest of us hiked. JD sprained his ankle trying to watch out for Lexie, but he was a trooped and finished the hike with a huge ankle. We all went of the swing one last time. I took Lexie off the platform with me. She was excited and all for it until I put her on my lap at the top and she looked down. Be the great mom that I am I just jumped off. She was screaming the whole way "I don't like this, I don't like this." She did go off the bottom by herself and loved it. JD took Brynnlee off the platform and she actually liked it, which is weird because she is scared of everything. We all piled in the back of the truck to go back to camp. We fixed lunch and then cleaned up and headed home.

Pioneer Day Celebration in Fairview

Nothing beats the 24th of July celebration in Fairview. The size of Fairview triples for the week. It is one happening place. This year my little sister Tori signed us up to play in the volleyball tournament. JD and Casey were not excited at all but we had fun. We were a lot better than we expected. It was a long hot, hot, very hot day playing on the sand but we all had fun. Believe it or not we took 3rd place. We went to my uncle Kevin and aunt Paula's annual BBQ before the derby. Seriously the best steaks and chicken anywhere. If you ever get a chance ugly steaks and ugly chicken are the best, can't even describe them. We went to the derby, which is always fun. The girls were a little onre do to lack of sleep, but it was fun.
Brynnlee enjoying the cars crashing.
Lexie doing the chicken dance.
We all look a bit tired, but all worth the fun.

Ogden Rodeo

Every year the Parry family goes to the Ogden Rodeo. This year was no different. We went on a Thursday night and it was so fun. Brynnlee loved the animals, Lexie loved the bull riding and her slushie. We look forward to this every year and it is never a disappointment. One of the bull fighters got thrown in the air and couple bronco riders got run over and the clown was great. It was military night so three F16 flew over which is always cool. Can't wait until next year!
All dressed and ready to go.
JD didn't want to be in the picture but he also went with us.

Weber State Fireworks

We missed every fireworks show the year but the Weber State show. I am so glad we finally made it to at least one, the girls love them. We found the perfect spot and went early so we could just relax and play. JD and I played with a frisbee and the girls found a little dog to play with. It was a nice relaxing night.
Lexie was not very happy I made her stop playing to snap a picture (oh well at least I got one)
Brynnlee was in heaven, she loved the fireworks.
