Grandma Anderson's 80th Birthday

This weekend we celebrated my Grandma Anderson's 80th Birthday. She was in charge of a Family History Fair on Saturday, so everyone went to support her in that. I found out that I do and have done family history that I didn't even know about (yeah! for me). That night we had a surprise dinner for her at the church. We took a family picture, which didn't take as long as I thought it would considering there was about 100+ people in it. There were a couple tributes read for her. It was really nice, I hope she enjoyed it.

My Grandma and her kids are on the front row, spouses are on the back row.

It is so fun to have so many cousins the same age.

Mini-Golfing

Last week we went mini-golfing at Toad's. JD and I have always been a little competitive with each other when it comes to mini-golf. Well this is the first time we have taken Lexie with us. Come to find out, it is really hard to keep the competitive edge when you are chasing her around. Yelling at her not to get in the water, telling her not to throw the ball, no running, don't pick up other peoples balls. Leslie and Brent and Monette also came with us with their kids. I do have to say that we had fun and we did end up tying in the end (I know who likes a tie). I think Lexie had fun copying everything Ellie was doing, which didn't make Ellie to happy.

Once You POP,

You Can't Stop!

Lexie is so addicted to Pringles. She could eat a whole tube all by herself if I would let her. Once she has the tube it is a fight to get it away from her. She woke up this morning and the first thing she said was "chips mom". She gets her sweet tooth from me, but this chip addiction is totally her dad's fault.

Lexie Post Trip Tantrums

Lexie was so good on the trip I knew we would be in for it when we got home. I think the terrible two's have come early. She is in to everything and really likes to say "NO" and then proceed to tell you what she thinks you should do. She is into everything, I can't take my eyes off her for a second. At my mom's house she got into her makeup and had lipstick all over her face. She got into the hot tub chemicals, luckily she didn't eat any. She got into my mascara and put it all over her face. Some might think this is normal and it may be but the thing that bugs me is that somebody was watching her in all of these incidences. You turn your back for a second and she will destroy. Needless to say we still love her and she keeps us on our toes.

She did get some on her eyelashes!

Since the trip

We got back into town and on New Years Day we had a party with all of JD's high school friends. We had about 22 people over. We ate pizza, talked and played Guitar Hero World Tour. It was a lot of fun. I didn't take any pictures though, I know I am horrible.

On the 2nd we headed for Fairview. My cousin/best friend growing up was getting married. Friday Night me and a couple friends were throwing her a bridal shower. We held it at Applebee's in Orem. It was so much fun. We had a lot of people show up and it was just fun to catch up with friends I haven't seen for a long time. Thanks to Randi I have pictures to post.

Saturday was the wedding and it was beautiful. They are so perfect for each other. The ceramony was so touching. The reception was gorgeous. Again it was good to see family and friends we don't get to see very often.
The Happy Couple

Sunday we came home and are home to stay (for awhile at least). It is always good to come home and sleep in your own bed.

We had a wonderful Holiday Season and hope everybody else did too.

Disney World Where Dreams Come True

For Christmas my parents took us all to Disney World. When I say all I mean all 29 of us. They surprised us and what a surprise it was! We flew out early in the morning on the 27th and got home on the 31st. It was a chaotic, whirlwind of fun. Imagine trying to keep track of 29 people in the funnest place on earth. It was hilarious to see waiters faces when you made reservations for 29 people. But the best part was to see their faces when we said we were all one family. I was a little worried about Lexie on the plane ride, but she did so well. She loved every minute of the ride there. On the plane ride back she slept the whole way (of course it was 5:30 in the morning). She loved the safari ride at the Animal Kingdom. She really wanted to see more alligators. She would look for an alligator in every little pond or puddle after seeing them on the safari. She loved the mickey mouse ice cream bars and getting to eat french fries every day. We took her to see the Princesses at the Magic Kingdom. At first she was a little shy but warmed up and posed for some pictures. Lexie enjoyed every bus ride to and from the parks because she did not have to be in a car seat. We have to fight to get her in her car seat now. We would like to thank my wonderful parents for giving us an experience of a life time. We made memories which will last forever.

Christmas

I know this is a bit late but hey, we have been busy. Christmas was so fun this year with Lexie. She really didn't know what was going on, but she was happy to get new toys. The best part was that she really did like everything she got. She loves her rocking horse and never rides it without wearing her cowboy hat. She loves her kitchen and babies. Christmas at our house was definitely a success.
