Happy Birthday JD

On Monday for JD's birthday I had made an appointment for us to get a couples massage. He gave me a gift certificate for Christmas we just haven't found time to use it. I thought this was a perfect time. We got there and they said one of our masseuses had just called from the hospital and wasn't going to make it. They made arrangements for us to come back later in the day. If you have never been to a spa, I highly recommend it. We were so relaxed, it was awesome. I also got to lay on my belly. They have a prego pillow you lay on so you can get a regular massage. I was seriously in heaven. This was merry Christmas to me and a happy birthday for him.
We had his parents, Clay, Jed and Leslie and the kids over for dinner. I made him one of his favorite meals, Japanese Steak Rolls with Garlic Lime Rice. We then all went and played Bocce Ball at the park. It was a lot of fun. We went back to the house and had another JD favorite, fresh strawberry shakes.
I hope he had a wonderful birthday. We love you.

Lexie found this truck at the park and it is now her favorite toy.

Easter

We had a great Easter Day. We had an easter egg hunt for Payton and Lexie in the back yard. They both got way too much candy, but loved every minute of it. We BBQ kabobs and had a nice dinner. We played a game of boccie ball (not sure if that is how you spell it). The weather was great and it was really hard to leave. Lexie didn't take a nap the whole weekend, when we got in the car to leave we didn't even make it a block before she was out. She slept the whole way home and went to bed right when we got home and slept the whole night. We had the most peaceful ride home we have had in two years!

Best Husband Award Goes To . . .

This weekend JD planned an early anniversary celebration. He planned it all by himself and didn't tell me what we were doing. All I knew is that we were going down to St. George. We left Thursday afternoon and after a long ride made it to St. George. Lexie was so excited to be in warm weather and especially be out of the car. We met my parents for dinner. Friday JD and I headed for Vegas leaving Lexie with my parents. He had made reservation at Lavo. This is a really nice restaurant were you have to order everything separate. Like you order your meat and sides separate. We ordered an appetizer which sounded kind of like beef kabobs (that is what we were both picturing). Well it came and and we both just stared at it, it was a paper thin piece of raw beef with some green leaves on it. We had no idea how to eat it and I wasn't sure I wanted to eat raw meat. We decided to at least try it, the first bite was a shock and we didn't like it but kept eating and by the end we both really liked it.
Being prego I of course had to use the bathroom. I walked into the bathroom and there is this huge table full of seven different kinds of hairsprays, gel, lipstick, chapstick, gum, mints, suckers, cigarettes, crackers there was everything. My first thought, man I need to stock up, second thought, I really have to pee. I go into my own fancy little toilet room, when I am done I walk out and there is a lady standing right there. Yep, scared me to death. I walk over to the sink and can't figure out how to turn it on. There is no handles or faucet, so I am standing there looking all over trying to figure out how to turn the dang sink on. The lady then looking at me and I know she was laughing on the inside, asks if I need soap and gives me some soap. Again I am standing there not knowing how to turn on the sink. She then clears her throat and says the pedals are on the floor. Oh, why didn't I look there! So I step on the pedal and water comes shooting down from the ceiling. Right again, it scared me and I jumped. This made the lady laugh aloud. Needless to say I made it out of the bathroom alive and made JD go check out the mens to see if it was the same.
Our main course and sides were delicious and we ate to much. After dinner I still didn't know what the plans were. JD just kept me in the dark, really until we were standing in a line. He had gotten tickets to Phantom of the Opera. I absolutely love Phantom and have been dying to see it in Vegas. Our seats were on the second row right in the middle. It was amazing. I loved every minute of it. It was the best performance of Phantom I have seen. JD is not at all a "play" going guy but he did think it was kind of cool. He just knew I would love it and he was totally right.
So I would just like to thank my wonderful husband for a great night out. I love you.

Easter Party

We went to our wards play group Easter Party a couple weeks ago. Lexie made bunny ears (which she loved and wears around the house). She loved making them because she got to use scissors and glitter for the first time. They had a cupcake walk and an easter egg hunt. Lexie is old enough this year to know that the eggs have candy inside so she was excited.

Lexie's Room

Lexie's room is finally done! JD and I built the fence and made all the flowers and bugs. It was a little more work than we thought, but it turned out cute. Thanks to Brandi for doing all the vinyl for me. Now it is time to start working on the new nursery.

2 Going On 21

I know it is usually your 21st birthday that you hit Vegas, but we decided to start Lexie a little early.

Last weekend we went down to St. George and Las Vegas. We went down with Brent and Leslie. It was just a fun relaxing weekend. We didn't have any plans and just did whatever we wanted. Friday we played at Snow Canyon. We went to the sand hills and let Lexie play. She was in heaven. We shopped at the outlets for just a little while. We went to dinner with Katie and Lloyd. Saturday we drove to Vegas. The boys were planning on going to the MWC Championship game, but since BYU decided to suck and lose they decided to hang out with the girls instead. We shopped the outlets in Vegas for most of the day. We went to Bally's, Paris and the Bellagio. We ate the buffet at the Paris Hotel (all you can eat crab)and then went and watched the water show at the Bellagio. We did take Lexie swimming for her birthday. She loves the water. We really didn't make her a cake so she got a chocolate brownie from the buffet. It was just really nice to get away to some warm weather.

Lexie got her birthday present early from Grandpa and Grandma Cox. They gave her this Step 2 real working sink. My mom called me to see if it was okay to get it for her. I didn't really understand what it was. It should have occurred to me that if she has to ask to ask me it is probably something I don't want her to have. My mom said she needed to get it because Lexie would love it. And LOVE IT she does. When she woke up this morning she went running to the sink and wanted it out. I had to bribe her to get in the tub and go to the gym, and then mommy would open it. When we got back from the gym I put it together for her. She played with it for 2 hours straight. It is a mess. Well I guess "a mess" is not the best word, it is really WET. She started out dressed and was soon down to just underwear. She played until she got too cold and then took a break. After her nap and second outfit of the day, she is back playing with it. The one good thing, I actually get some time on the computer (oh, and to maybe clean).
Thanks you mom and dad for the best present for Lexie.

IT'S A . . . .

GIRL! We found out on Thursday that we are having another girl. We are all excited. Lexie now thinks she has a sister in her belly. I guess we will get good use out of all the pink clothes and bows we have.
