What Keeps Her Entertained

Lexie loves shoes! One place I can always find her is in my closet trying to put on my shoes. She loves to try and walk in them and I must say she does pretty good. She totally looks 80's here, but give me a break she just woke up from a nap.

Funny Girl

I have always said Lexie has her dads personality and it is way to big for her little body. Here are just a couple examples from the past week.
Lexie has this fetish about her princesses (her underwear), she loves to change them and we go through about five pairs every day. I have been cracking down and only allowing her one a day. So when we were doing laundry the other day she picked out all of her princesses and wanted to put them on. I told her if she put them on her bum I would spank it. She ran in her room with all of them and came out laughing with all of them on her head. It was seriously so cute. I couldn't spank her because she didn't put them on her bum. She thought she was pretty funny.

We are driving home from the gym today and all of the sudden something hits me in the side of the head! I look back at Lexie and she starts laughing hysterically and says "stinky feet, stinky feet". She had thrown her sock at me. A minute later her other sock lands on my shoulder and again she is laughing saying "stinky feet". Who knew she was such a good aim. She learned this trick from her dad. Every night when he gets home from work he throws his socks at either me or her. She loves it, I hate it. It disgusts me, but obviously she has picked up on it. I am so out numbered. Hopefully this next one will be on my side.

The One Bribe That Works

Lexie has had a hard time staying the whole time in nursery. She does really good as long as it is play time. As soon as they start cleaning up the toys for the lesson she freaks. She starts screaming and saying she has to go potty. My classroom is on the other side of the building and I can usually hear her crying. A couple of weeks ago she actually stayed the whole time in nursery. We were so excited, little did we know this meant she was going to be out of control in Sacrament Meeting. This last week she again stayed the whole time in nursery. For Sacrament JD bribed her, if she would be good we would go see the horses after church. Every time she started to act up we would just say, "OK, no horses". She would quiet right down. After church she didn't let us forget that we needed to visit the horses. So instead of a nap we went to see the horses. Lexie is totally in heaven when ever we go to the horses. She loves to feed them and laughs every time they touch her.

This is Dusty
This is Two Socks, Lexie's favorite horse. Also the bully of the group, she ate all the carrots and wouldn't let us pet the other four horses.

V-day a Little Late!

Lexie and I made sugar cookies for Valentines Day. Oh, boy was she a big help. She wanted to cut out everyone by herself and put it on the pan by herself. When it came time to frost the cookies she was so excited she could hardly contain herself. I made a glaze that you dip the cookies in in stead of a thick frosting. I thought this would be a fun change. The thing I didn't think about was the bigger mess it would cause. The glaze was very runny and Lexie had it everywhere. When she wasn't eating spoonfuls of it, she was dragging across the table trying to get it on a cookie. Even though we had a really big mess, it was fun just to let her do everything herself.
So cute and innocent
I had to take off her pants because they were literally dripping with glaze
Some of the cookies that survived
I started cleaning up before I realized I needed a picture so this is the partial mess

Grandma Anderson's 80th Birthday

This weekend we celebrated my Grandma Anderson's 80th Birthday. She was in charge of a Family History Fair on Saturday, so everyone went to support her in that. I found out that I do and have done family history that I didn't even know about (yeah! for me). That night we had a surprise dinner for her at the church. We took a family picture, which didn't take as long as I thought it would considering there was about 100+ people in it. There were a couple tributes read for her. It was really nice, I hope she enjoyed it.

My Grandma and her kids are on the front row, spouses are on the back row.

It is so fun to have so many cousins the same age.

Mini-Golfing

Last week we went mini-golfing at Toad's. JD and I have always been a little competitive with each other when it comes to mini-golf. Well this is the first time we have taken Lexie with us. Come to find out, it is really hard to keep the competitive edge when you are chasing her around. Yelling at her not to get in the water, telling her not to throw the ball, no running, don't pick up other peoples balls. Leslie and Brent and Monette also came with us with their kids. I do have to say that we had fun and we did end up tying in the end (I know who likes a tie). I think Lexie had fun copying everything Ellie was doing, which didn't make Ellie to happy.

The three trouble makers

She is not pulling it out of the hole, she is putting it in the hole.
These girls had tons of fun.

Trying to stay warm, it was chilling by the water falls.

Once You POP,

You Can't Stop!

Lexie is so addicted to Pringles. She could eat a whole tube all by herself if I would let her. Once she has the tube it is a fight to get it away from her. She woke up this morning and the first thing she said was "chips mom". She gets her sweet tooth from me, but this chip addiction is totally her dad's fault.
